Drug Testing: Defendants with a history of illicit drug use, or defendants charged with offenses involving illegal drugs, may be ordered by the Court to submit to random drug testing. The Pretrial Services Officer will locate the closest contracted vendor providing urine collection services and prepare a program plan referring the defendant for random drug testing. The officer or the vendor will provide the defendant with a code-a-phone number and number/color code. The defendant will call the code-a-phone daily to see if his number/color code is announced. If the number/color code is announced, the defendant will report that day to the vendor location to submit a urine sample. Failure to report for testing, showing-up late to test, or stalling during the testing process, is considered a violation of release conditions and could result in a violation hearing.
