Remote Alcohol Testing: Defendants with a history of alcohol abuse may be ordered to submit to alcohol testing. The Pretrial Services Officer will enroll the defendant into the vendor’s software supporting a remote alcohol testing device. The remote alcohol testing device can be installed at the defendant’s residence, or utilized in the Pretrial Services Office, to assure the defendant is not consuming alcohol while on pretrial release. The device utilizes voice recognition technology to insure the defendant is the person submitting to the breath test.
